Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents with their daily medication needs, ensuring compassionate care and dignity. This role requires adherence to the MAR, accurate dosing, and collaboration with clinical leadership to optimize resident well-being.

Candidates must have an active Medication Technician Certification (or 1 year of senior care experience), CPR/First Aid, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification or at least 1 year of senior care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to use or learn the eMAR system.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration per Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification on resident care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as needed.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission, “Whatever it Takes,” on shift.
