Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide / Med Tech to provide safe, accurate medication care for our residents. You will administer medications per physician orders and document in MAR/TAR in real time, while monitoring residents during and after medication passes.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or GED with Medication Administration certification, CPR and First Aid, plus strong documentation and communication skills. Senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Medication Administration certification, CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
