Job summary

Sunflower Springs at Trinity in Trinity, FL is seeking a Medication Technician for a full-time role from 6am to 6pm. The incumbent will assist with medication administration, ADLs, meals, and daily activities while promoting a safe, respectful environment for residents.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–2 years related experience) and a Med-Tech certification, with proficiency in electronic medical records and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, and laundry to support resident independence.
• Talks with residents at all care levels with empathy and respect.
• Reports changes in health and well-being to supervisor daily.
• Assists in dining room during meals.
• Participates in leisure activities per activity calendar.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
