Job summary

Monarch Communities in Mahwah, NJ is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant or Home Health Aide to provide high-quality resident care at our community.

The role includes medication assistance under RN delegation, maintaining records, and ensuring resident comfort, privacy, and dignity while following state and federal regulations. Flexible schedule and on-site support provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a current NJ Medication Aid Certification AND a NJ CNA or HHA Certification.
• Minimum six months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to residents and their families.
• Provide assistance with medication administration for residents according to the care plan and physician’s orders, including supervision under RN delegation.
• Completes required medication training per state requirements and company training.
• Maintain medical records and written documentation ensuring accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure resident comfort, privacy and dignity in service delivery.
• Attend in-service trainings and comply with policies.
• Adhere to all Federal, State and local regulations and community procedures.

Location: 814 Wyckoff Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430

Hourly Range: $21.31 - $24.00

Final compensation dependent on experience

Job Overview- Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for providing quality care and services to all resident and their families.
• Provide assistance of medication administration for resident according to their care plan and physician’s orders, including administration and/or assistance with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintaining related medical records under the delegation of the RN, including supervision of the LPN.
• Completes required annual medication training, per state requirements.
• Completes company required medication training modules.
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s and maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents.
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, including care tasks/assignments as needed and delegated.

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
