Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• State Approved Medication Aide course is required.
• Personal Care Assistant or CNA certification is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive relationship with residents, family and staff.
• Protects residents' rights and treats them with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and continuing education required by state regulations.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains professional appearance per community dress code.
• Documents in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Reports changes in a resident's condition promptly to the supervisor.
• Operates equipment safely and as trained.
• Adheres to infection control precautions and practices.
• Knows fire and emergency procedures and reports safety violations.
