Job summary

The Variel Assisted Living in Woodland Hills is seeking an experienced Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join a collaborative clinical team. This role focuses on delivering quality care to residents in a luxury senior living setting.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities on the overnight shift. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Med Tech experience in assisted living or memory care and a compassionate, professional approach to resident care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medication Technician in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration and documentation.
• Experience working with elderly residents in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and responsive during overnight shifts.
• A compassionate, professional approach to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor, document, and report changes in resident condition.
• Review physician orders and coordinate follow-up care.
• Support caregivers by providing clear direction on resident care needs.
• Assist in coordinating medical appointments and care services.
• Collaborate with Home Health and Hospice providers.
• Help maintain a calm, safe environment while minimizing unnecessary hospital transfers.
• Ensure proper inventory and ordering of clinical supplies.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
