Job summary

Bridgeway Park Tecumseh Senior Living Community is seeking compassionate caregivers with dementia experience to join our team under new management. We are dedicated to a warm, high-quality environment for residents and staff.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, help with medication administration per medical charts, ensure safety, and support infection control procedures. We offer growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of caregiving experience or equivalent.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Administer medications per medical charts and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control in the living environment.
• Document care and communicate changes to supervisor.
• Answer call lights and respond to residents’ needs.
• Support other team members and complete required charting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
