Job summary

Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Medication Technician to assist residents with self-administration of medications in a luxury senior living community in California. The role follows Title 22 regulations, physician orders, and community policies, delivering care with discretion, warmth, and professionalism.

Compensation ranges $20.00-$22.00 per hour (Per Diem); Schedule: Saturday and Sunday with AM/PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications as permitted under California Title 22, Division 6, including oral, topical, inhaled, and other approved medications.
• Follow physician orders, Medication Administration Records (MARs), and community policies precisely.
• Observe, document, and report any medication refusals, errors, adverse reactions, or changes in resident condition immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain secure storage, proper labeling, and accurate documentation of all medications.
• Ensure medications are administered at the correct time, dosage, and route in accordance with regulations.
• Observe residents for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly.
• Provide respectful assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as assigned, consistent with resident service plans.
• Support resident independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.
