Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Med Tech/CMA in Alexandria, VA to provide compassionate care and direct support with medication administration for residents in a teamwork-driven, resident-focused environment.

You will assist with daily living activities, follow personalized care plans, and collaborate with a caring team to ensure safety and well-being for residents, including those in memory care. Weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state medication administration license or meet state requirements for assisted living.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication per care plan.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Manage medication inventory and coordinate with pharmacies for re-orders/deliveries.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living.
• Promote independence and offer ongoing engagement and companionship.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activity programs.
• Maintain open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents and staff.
