Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Yakima, WA is seeking NOC SHIFT MED TECHS to join our team. PT & FT SHIFTS AVAILABLE. A $200 sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days to eligible staff.

Responsibilities include reading and implementing care plans, responding to resident needs and alarms, documenting care, promoting independence, and maintaining safety and infection control. You will work within state regulations and provide empathetic, compassionate support to residents during night shifts.

Qualifications

• State-required trainings completed as applicable.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a senior living or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current First Aid, CPR, CNA certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/ADLs per resident service plan.
• Work within scope of practice per state laws.
• Respond to resident needs and alarms promptly.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan within the scope of practice of certification or licensure.
• Effectively work within professional scope of practice per state laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate empathy and develop caring rapport with residents.
• Promote resident independence and self-care.
• Deliver care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of care delivered.
• At the start of each shift conduct a visual safety check on all assigned residents and at the end of each shift, effectively communicate (written or verbal) resident status with next shift.
• Communicate change of condition in any resident to nursing in a timely and effective manner.
• Complete incident reports accurately and timely.
• Understand policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrate practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses.
• Promote a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
• Recognize, respond to, and report concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident.

Qualifications

• Must complete all state required trainings as necessary.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a senior living or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations, may need to possess current CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation.
