Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Twin Falls, ID is seeking MED TECHS to join our team. We are looking to fill weekday & weekend PM & NOC shifts, with PRN-on call as needed.

Duties include following the resident service plan, documenting care, and responding to alarms in a timely manner. Qualifications include state-required med pass certification, CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers permit, plus the ability to complete required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must hold state med pass certification or other required certification.
• Must have word processing skills.
• Must have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.
• Must complete all state required trainings as necessary.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• The Med Tech assists in developing, coordinating, and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the resident’s preferences and abilities
• Maintains and documents in the Medication Assistance Record
• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents. Promotes resident independence and self-care.
• Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered.
• Completes incident reports accurately and timely. Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses. Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.
• Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident.
