Care Giver/Medication Technician Overview
The Care Giver/Medication Technician will provide hands‑on care, administer medications, and offer physical and emotional support to residents, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and home‑like environment.

What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence and safety.
- Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly.
- Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin and participation in activities.
- Engage residents in enrichment programs and life‑skills activities to support overall well‑being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas and medication/treatment spaces.
- Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors and health‑care staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols and confidentiality policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
- High‑school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.
