Care Giver/Medication Technician Overview

The Care Giver/Medication Technician will provide hands‑on care, administer medications, and offer physical and emotional support to residents, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and home‑like environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly.
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life‑skills activities to support overall well‑being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors and health‑care staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
