Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Per Diem Clinical Nurse for Med-Surg (KCC4/5S). This role delivers safe, high-quality care using nursing theory and evidence-based practice to a designated patient population and family.

You will participate in care coordination, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The nurse will function within the Modified Primary Nursing model, perform appropriate care planning, and support unit operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Licensed registered nurse in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care by applying nursing processes and professional practice models.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care needs using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Educates patients and families about plan of care and transition of care.
• Performs charge nurse duties and ensures adequate supplies for patient care.
• Documents care accurately in compliance with hospital standards.
