Job summary

MLK Community Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care on a 12-hour telemetry unit. You will apply the Watson Model of Care and collaborate with the care team to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care.

The role requires strong clinical assessment, documentation, effective communication using SBAR, and participation in discharge planning and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; ADN/diploma acceptable with residency program.
• Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience.
• Basic EKG competence required.
• ACLS/CA-licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to plan and deliver patient care.
• Perform focused nursing assessments and adjust care plans.
• Document care per IPOC and hospital policies.
• Communicate with physicians and team using SBAR.
• Coordinate discharge planning with care managers.
• Maintain professional appearance and hospital ID.
• Uphold patient safety and regulatory standards.
