Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg/Tele 3S on a part-time days schedule. You will deliver professional nursing care per physician plans, assess patient needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet holistic patient goals.

The role includes directing care delivery and participating in new-employee orientations. You will perform assessments, document observations, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining patient safety and quality

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications through AHA.
• TCAR certification preferred for SICU/PACU.
• Ability to lift/carry >75 lbs and push/pull >100 lbs.
• Strong communication and patient-centered care approach.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient data with family involvement.
• Perform initial assessments and document findings.
• Develop and update the plan of care with outcomes.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for patient needs.
• Incorporate discharge planning into admission process.
• Ensure patient safety and administer medications per policy.
