Med/Surg Tele Float RN Details

• Location: Olympia, WA 98506
• Healthcare Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 7, 2025
• End Date: January 6, 2026
• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1650 - $1770
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Charting System: EPIC
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 (Days/Nights), may vary by unit
• Floating: Required between like units within skill set
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to float between units as needed
• Weekend availability required
• First-time travel nurses and pending licenses accepted (quick starts preferred)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Float between hospital units based on patient care needs and within your clinical skill set
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and provide timely interventions
• Implement isolation precautions and manage patients on nasal cannula oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, and Pharmacy
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in rapid response teams and support patient safety initiatives
• Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced hospital environment
