Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ED boarder and Med/Surg Telemetry environment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and administer cardiac drips (no titration)
• Perform procedures including IV starts, central line and PICC line management, wound care, and blood product administration
• Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in required orientation and training modules

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (first-time travel nurses considered)
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact State RN license required
• BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Must provide 2 professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from facility
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
