Common Patient Population

• CHF, COPD, HTN, diabetes, UTI
• Non‑critical sepsis and isolation patients
• Post‑op general surgery patients
• Palliative/end‑of‑life and placement‑awaiting patients

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Med‑Surg patient assessment and care planning
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Management of Heparin and Cardizem drips (limited titration)
• CPAP/BiPAP patient support
• Documentation, patient education, and interdisciplinary coordination
• Floating to other units as needed

Requirements

• WA RN license or Compact license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience
• Comfort with telemetry and basic drip management

Unit Highlights

• 2‑shift unit orientation
• No specific scrub color requirement
• Supportive staffing model with telemetry techs and CNAs
• Manager phone interview required

Best fit: Med‑Surg/Telemetry RN with at least 1 year of acute care experience who is comfortable with telemetry monitoring, basic drip titration, and caring for a mixed medical/post‑surgical population in a moderate‑acuity overflow unit.
