Key Job Details – Med/Surg Telemetry RN

Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011 (New Mexico nursing jobs)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – October 20, 2025)
Unit: Telemetry/Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) – Trauma Level IV
Shift: 12-hour nights (19:30 – 07:30)
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/as needed
Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units as needed
Electronic Health Record: Meditech
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800–$1840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for New Mexico
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIHSS (must be valid prior to start)
Experience providing clinical support to all age groups
Completion of New Mexico Department of Health fingerprint/background check (14-day waiver available for start)
Compliance with facility dress code (scrub color: any; no casual wear)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Telemetry/Med-Surg unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for clinical accuracy
Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge planning, and post-hospital care
Accurately document all patient care activities in Meditech EHR
Float to other Medical-Surgical units as required
