Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) for day shifts with rotating weekends/holidays. Requires RN license and BLS, with Associate's degree required and Bachelor's preferred. Prior acute care hospital experience is desired; compensation reflects market rates for this

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Active RN license and BLS certification required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and spiritual domains.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure infection control compliance.
• Provide emotional support and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Respond toCode/ emergency situations promptly and effectively.
