Job summary

Monroe Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, direct patient care in the Medical/Surgical Unit at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. The role involves nursing process execution, patient/family education, and collaboration with physicians to respond to changes in patient conditions.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS (ACLS preferred) with acute care experience and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs/teaches patient/family nursing activities.
• Maintains standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit and communicates with physician about changes in condition.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
