Job summary

The position requires an active state RN license, BLS, and ideally ACLS, with BSN preferred. Prior acute care experience is a plus, and duties include patient education and interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and mental health.
• Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical indicators to detect changes.
• Recognize and act on warning signs of deterioration.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the patient's needs are met.
• Provide patient education on their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments to support recovery and prevent readmission.
• Communicate with doctors, specialists, physical therapists, and social workers to develop and adjust care plans
