Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, efficient care in a busy Med/Surg unit. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, instruct families on medications and treatment, and maintain accurate documentation of tests and results.

Responsibilities include administering medications per physician orders and collaborating with an amazing team dedicated to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or compact license with FL license within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting; BLS certification.
• ACLS required after 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
