Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), current BLS, and ACLS after 6 months. Join a team dedicated to exceptional patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations; active license required.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required after 6 months of hire/ transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatments.
• Maintain and review patient records, post tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
