Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; RN licensed in Massachusetts.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• RN Residency & Transition (job code: 6004) must be completed within 3 months from start date.
• Med/Surg experience in an acute care facility within the last 2 years.
• Preferred BSN.
• Preferred experience in cardiac patients; chemotherapy/biotherapy certification/practicum are plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administers and monitors patient responses to medications.
• Directs and guides patient care, teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
• Maintains high quality customer service standards.
• Documents assessment data and communicates plans to care team.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities and participates in nursing committees.
• Utilizes Computerized Nursing Informatics systems and maintains confidentiality.
