Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide Med/Surg patient care with staffing support and resources to deliver high-quality care. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, administer medications, and maintain records in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include FL RN license (or compact), Nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), BLS, and acute care experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and career development.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or applicable compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
