Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for its Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. You will support a team that values collaboration and patient-centered care.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact acceptable), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS; ACLS within 6 months. Acute care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or have an active compact license.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of invasive radiology patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Assist physicians in procedures.
• Ensure all appropriate equipment is available and the room is prepared for procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
• Continuously assess and communicate patient condition and act accordingly.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• You will assist physicians in procedures.
• You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.
• You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
• You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
