Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit (IU 2 North). This full-time role requires 36 hours per week with a 72-hour biweekly schedule and every other weekend coverage.

You will use the nursing process to assess and care for patients, participate in governance and safety initiatives, and maintain accurate EHR documentation while supporting a culture of high-quality, ethical care.

Qualifications

• RN license active in state(s) where services are provided.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Experience in clinical nursing; hospital Med Surg preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and coordinate with the care team.
• Maintain patient safety and accurate EHR documentation.
• Collaborate, communicate, and delegate appropriately within the team.
