Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Texas seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across hospital units. You will interview patients, administer medications, prepare equipment, and monitor vital signs to ensure safe, effective care.

You will document thoroughly, educate patients and families, rotate across departments, and may precept new hires while contributing to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license and BSN degree.
• BLS is required within 30 days of hire; ACLS/NRP/PALS within stated timeframes.
• Experience in Med/Surg preferred.
• Active licensure and ability to obtain Texas RN license if on multi-state credential.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine problems and document in chart.
• Explain procedures and administer medications per nursing standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during exams and treatments.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to life-saving situations per policy.
• Document history, assessments and services in patient records.
• Educate patients and families per physician plan; participate in quality improvement.
• Rotate among clinical services and supervise on-call staff as needed.
• Precept new hires and participate in in-service trainings.
