Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is hiring a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, efficient care in a busy Med/Surg unit.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families about medications and treatments, and maintain accurate records. Florida RN licensure or a compact license is required; BSN is preferred, with current BLS.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure.
• Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
