Job summary

AdventHealth in DeLand, Florida is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. You will administer medications, educate patients and families, and document care while collaborating with the medical team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, English fluency, and strong organizational skills. This full-time, day-shift position offers ongoing professional development and a Clinical Ladder

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills – Windows-based programs

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and support teamwork.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and provide interventions when needed.
