Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Unit on a full-time, 12-hour day shift. Reporting to the Director of Med/Surg, you will deliver direct patient care and coordinate with the care team in a high-volume acute setting.

The ideal candidate holds a CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong English communication skills, with BSN preferred and 1 year acute care experience. Regulatory compliance and quality improvement are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• One year of acute care experience is preferred.
• Current CA RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Proficiency in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• The Med/Surg RN provides care, treatment, counseling, and health education to the hospitalized patient.
• Plan and coordinate care from admission through post-discharge.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient service.
• Meet regulatory requirements (CDPH, TJC, and others).
