Job summary

Eastern New Mexico Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across multiple units in a dynamic hospital setting. The role emphasizes teamwork, clinical skill development, and compassionate patient interaction.

The RN will coordinate care with physicians and staff, perform assessments, administer medications, and support high-quality outcomes following established protocols. Training and development programs are available to support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN – Registered Nurse; valid state licensure and/or compact licensure required.
• BCLS – Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and hospital policies.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
