Job summary
Centerpoint - Winchester, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Full Time Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join a 36-bed unit. The role supports patient care across acute illnesses and post-surgical recovery, coordinating nursing oversight, teaching families, and advocating for patients.
The team emphasizes teamwork with physicians and staff, delivering medications and therapies while ensuring high-quality, compassionate care in a busy Med/Surg setting. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Qualifications
- Current state RN license required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
- KY RN licensure or compact licensure is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Assess the patient's condition and nursing care needs.
- Set goals and prescribe nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs.
- Develop individual nursing care plans.
- Implement care plans and revise as needed.
- Evaluate patient care outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other hospital staff.
- Administer medications, treatments and therapies.
- Communicate with patients and oversee provision of care.
