Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg unit. Join a 38-bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, working 3x12s days (7a–7p) with rotating weekends and holidays. Sign-on bonuses of $10,000 for new grads and $15,000 for experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment.

Role emphasizes patient assessment, documentation, and collaboration with LPNs/CNAs. NC RN licensure required; BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify nursing needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care aligned with patient condition and age.
• Document medical necessity and care plans in the chart.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans.
• Perform timely QI assessments.
