Job summary

Driscoll Health Plan is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to an assigned patient population, service line or clinic department. The nurse will plan and deliver patient care within the Texas Nursing Practice Act and Driscoll Health System’s standards, policies, and ANA guidelines.

The role requires current Texas RN licensure and a BSN preferred, along with CPR certification and ongoing specialty training.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Texas.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) continuously maintained.
• Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC) according to Attachment A; complete within specified timeframes.
• National Certification in specialty must be attempted within 4 years of hire date and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patient population.
• Plan and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Adhere to ANA guidelines and hospital policies.
• Maintain competence in required skills for the service line.

Education

RN license in Texas

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR)

Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC)
