Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski. This full-time day position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus to eligible applicants and requires Tennessee licensure with an associate degree in nursing.

As a Med Surg RN, you will provide direct patient care, participate in care planning, document care, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate transfers, discharge planning, and family education.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee nursing license (or compact)
• Associate degree from accredited nursing school
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• PALS within 90 days of hire
• Handle With Care within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process and applicable standards of practice
• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments
• Documents patient care accurately
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Educates patient and family appropriate to age, culture and condition
