Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; ADN or BSN.
• Current Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license.
• Previous acute-care hospital nursing experience.
• Two or more years of recent acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• Med-Surg and telemetry experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, judgment, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining an engaged member of the healthcare team.
• Basic computer and electronic health record proficiency.
• Experience with EPOWERdoc preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly and appropriately.
• Prioritize care based on patient acuity and needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
• Initiate and maintain IV access and obtain lab specimens.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Respond to emergencies and critical-care situations.
• Communicate changes to physicians and care team.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and coordinate admissions/discharges.

What You'll Do

As a Med‑Surg RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients throughout their inpatient stay. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.

• Recognizing changes in patient condition and responding quickly and appropriately.

• Prioritizing care based on patient acuity, clinical condition, and individual needs.

• Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing plans of care.

• Administering medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments.

• Initiating and maintaining IV access and obtaining laboratory specimens as appropriate.

• Monitoring hemodynamic status and interpreting cardiac rhythms.

• Responding effectively to emergency and critical‑care situations.

• Communicating changes in patient condition, symptoms, and diagnostic findings to physicians and other members of the care team.

• Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation.

• Coordinating safe and efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Providing patient and family education and encouraging active participation in the plan of care.

• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments to promote continuity and quality of care.

• Maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

• Demonstrating professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and respect in every interaction.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; ADN or BSN.

• Current Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license.

• Previous acute‑care hospital nursing experience.
