Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical inpatients. The role includes administering medications, monitoring patient status, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team throughout the hospital stay.

Responsibilities include conducting admissions and ongoing assessments, supervising support staff, and delivering patient and family education; pre/post-operative care and discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Medical Surgical or acute care nursing experience (preferred).
• RN licensure in the state of practice (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Perform admission, shift and ongoing assessments for assigned medical and surgical patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including wound care and drain management.
• Monitor for changes in patient condition and escalate as needed.
• Delegate appropriately to and supervise nursing assistants and support staff.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning.
