Job summary

United Surgical Partners International seeks a Registered Nurse to plan, direct, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical and medical patients in line with established standards. This RN role covers patients from 1 year to geriatric and responds to healthcare needs per MSE protocols.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessing needs, prioritizing care plans, managing pain, safe medication delivery, documentation, and using MediTech for orders and charting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• RN, current in the State of Texas.
• Preferred 2 years’ experience in hospital Med/Surg; Telemetry preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS offered at facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care within RN scope and hospital policies.
• Assesss psychosocial, educational and physical needs across age groups.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations.
• Develops and prioritizes plan of care to meet goals.
• Documents patient/family education and outcomes.
• Manages pain and delivers medications safely.
• Utilizes MediTech for orders, registrations and charting.
