This part-time day shift position on a 44‑bed unit involves direct patient care under RN supervision and a path to develop advanced clinical skills in cancer care and vascular treatments.

Qualifications

• 2 years High School Education or equivalent.
• Age 17 with work permit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position.
• Experience as an STNA, PCA or ACT strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under RN supervision; completes tasks accurately and on time.
• Maintains competency in required skills and seeks clarification when needed.
• Ensures a safe environment; reports hazards and follows infection control practices.
• Communicates respectfully with patients, families, and staff; collaborates with the care team.
• Documents care and observations; maintains medical records and unit flow.
• Answers phones and call lights promptly; assists with patient flow and customer service needs.
• Manages supplies and equipment; reports shortages and ensures readiness for next use.
