Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of RN experience for full-time faculty or minimum of two (2) years for part-time faculty.
• Current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• Most faculty shall hold master's degrees in nursing.
• If Bachelor’s degree in nursing is held, an academic plan toward a Master’s degree must be documented.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintains accurate student records and grades.
• Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact learning and provide a positive Ivy Tech experience; develops active classroom teaching strategies.
• Interacts with students and co-workers professionally; complies with College policies and campus guidelines.
• Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.
