Job summary

Trinity Health in Georgia seeks a Nurse Manager for the Med Surg unit to oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and lead performance improvement initiatives.

You will assist in budgeting, monitor staffing productivity, and coordinate annual staff competency trainings. A Georgia RN license is required; BSN is preferred with BLS and ACLS mandatory. Leadership and cardiac experience are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a current Georgia RN license in good standing.
• BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS required.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred upon hiring and required within one year of hire date.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred, including 4 years of acute care experience.
• Cardiac patient population experience preferred.
• Must be able to develop and implement a consistent program for quality assurance.
• Must be able to communicate and address concerns identified in a suitable manner.
• Must be able to interact with Physicians, Patients, Family, Nursing staff and ancillary staff.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors, physicians, employees and other departments.
• Deals with patients and staff in a caring, professional manner and encourages the same attitudes in his/her subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Med Surg unit.
• Communicate with physicians and parties managing a quality patient care unit.
• Participate in and develop performance improvement measures.
• Assist in planning the departmental budget.
• Responsible for financial accountability within the department including productivity measures and monitoring.
• Coordinate educational classes to meet annual staff competency requirements.
