The role emphasizes delegation, mentoring, performance reviews, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with policies. BLS, GA RN license, BSN required; ACLS may be needed; grandfathering rules apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited BSN program.
• 1 year of recent post-graduation nursing experience.
• Valid, unencumbered RN license approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification; ACLS may be required for certain departments; active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Functions as charge nurse; delegates using the Synergy model for care.
• Mentors RNs, leads team behavior, and guides policies and scheduling.
• Completes performance reviews with Nurse Manager input and applies the Synergy model.
