Job summary

Ascension's Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med Surg department. This full-time role is on evening shift, overseeing daily operations and staff in high-acuity units.

Provides leadership, care coordination, and performance improvement contributions to deliver seamless patient care. Minimum requirements include TX RN licensure and active ACLS/BLS within required periods; 1 year of related experience and leadership capability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in TX (Texas BON)
• Leadership experience preferred for specialty leadership roles
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations and clinical staff in high-acuity Med Surg units.
• Oversee patient access and unit workflows to ensure smooth care delivery.
• Delegate duties based on staff skill and monitor clinical proficiency.
• Lead quality-improvement initiatives and audits with leadership teams.
• Drive full lifecycle staff development including recruitment and onboarding.
