Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to assist the Registered Nurse in direct patient care on a designated nursing unit. Night shift, 36 hours per week, join a team focused on safety, compassion, and patient experience.

You will support activities of daily living, help maintain clean and safe spaces, and document vitals and intake/output using portable devices. Prioritize teamwork, adapt to unit needs, and contribute to high reliability and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, walking).
• Maintain environmental cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, unit and equipment.
• Assist in telemetry monitoring and notify a licensed clinician for life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Assist with transporting supplies and specimens within the unit and support other nursing tasks as directed.
