Job summary

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking an LPN for the Med/Surg 6th Floor to provide essential nursing care under RN supervision. The role focuses on vital signs, medication administration, and collaborative discharge planning.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, ongoing assessments, and education for patients and families, while maintaining compliance with nursing standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting required.
• LPN licensure required (state licensure) or LVN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN supervision, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Administers medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Ensures adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Assists with basic procedures such as wound care and catheterization.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Responds to medical emergencies and supports code team interventions.
