Job summary

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN to provide patient-centered care on the 6th floor Med/Surg unit. The role covers assessment, planning, and coordination with physicians and nurses to ensure safe patient care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and participating in performance improvement and infection control efforts. BCLS is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Current RN licensure in state (or compact) required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Documents patient care and education thoroughly in the medical record.
• Participates in patient safety, infection control, and care planning.
