Job summary

UPMC Hamot is actively hiring Graduate Nurses into a full-time Professional Staff Nurse role within the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program. Nurses will rotate through multiple units for 6–8 weeks per rotation, gaining broad experience while mentored by experienced nurses.

The program emphasizes independent judgment, fluent communication, and a strong commitment to the nursing profession, with onboarding support and ongoing mentorship through preceptors for each rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduating Fall/Winter 2026 from nursing school.
• Eligible for State Board Licensure within six months of hire or hold a Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Diploma, associate, bachelor’s, or direct-entry master’s degree levels welcome for GN candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care as part of a rotating program.
• Rotate through units for 6–8 weeks per unit to gain broad clinical exposure.
• Collaborate with physicians, other care providers, and families to achieve patient outcomes.
