Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate the care plan within an interdisciplinary team. The position emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and education for patients and families.

The role requires an RN license, an associate degree or diploma, BLS/CPR, and 6+ months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation. BSN in progress is encouraged.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Must have a current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active Nurse Residency with Hackensack Meridian Health.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per latest evidence-based practice and policies.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to meet needs across populations.
• Communicate plans with patient/family and healthcare team; document accurately.
• Discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuity of care.
• Maintain competencies and meet licensure and accreditation requirements.
